This is a personal project and one very close to my heart, since I actually started drawing as a child when my father read Homer's Odyssey to me and gave me as an assignment the task of drawing an illustration for each chapter.
It consists of 36 illustrations made in various techniques, mostly collage, monotype and sprayed watercolors.
The poem's content and style influenced my way of working: I aimed for a concise and semi-abstract style. I’ve always thought that the Odyssey has often been treated, graphically, in too descriptive a way.
This project is still unpublished and looking for a "home"...
